One of my worst fears is being realized and is being played out on a national stage with major heavy hitters.  It was reported recently on a website called Media Bistro that NBC News Anchor Brian Williams is not taking a family vacation because of the weak economy.  Well, here we go.  First, I have not received confirmation from Mr. Williams' people if this is actually true. However, if it is, I think Brian would greatly benefit from a very informal conversation with yours truly.  In addition, I think it is worth noting that I love NBC, NBC News, and Brian’s style of reporting.  I always have.  But at the same time, Brian makes an estimated reported annual salary of 10 million dollars a year!  As far as I am concerned, he should realize what a vital role he plays in this faltering economy.  His money can help people stay in business!

On my radio show last week (The Travel Show Sundays from 2 until 4pm EST on WABC-NY) I asked Mr. Williams to phone in and we did not hear from him.  If you know Brian, please drop him a line and let him know we here at the Travel Show are deeply concerned and want to communicate our thoughts personally.  He has great influence and his actions (combined with others) may in fact due irrefutable damage to the world economy.
