Due primarily to its size, Texas will probably be able to accommodate any type of vacation. You dream it and Texas will deliver. It is the largest state (in size) in the contiguous United States, and it also has the most airports of any state in the nation. It's true Texas is associated with the American Cowboy, but the reality is, only about 10% of the state is dessert. It is mostly prairies filled with lush greenery. What to do? You name it! Major cities to visit include Dallas/Ft Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Beaumont just to name a few. Just remember, Texas is a big state, so if driving is a part of the vacation, don't be surprised at the driving distances, just enjoy the countryside.
