TECO Line Streetcar System The electric streetcar has made a triumphant return to the city after a 56-year hiatus. Within less than a half hour's time, the streetcar whisks passengers from downtown Tampa to the Channelside area and the cruise terminals, to Ybor City and back. Stops include the Tampa Convention Center , St. Pete Times Forum, Channelside, Port of Tampa , The Florida Aquarium and historic Ybor City . This service makes getting around downtown Tampa particularly convenient for meeting and convention delegates. Each air-conditioned streetcar can carry up to 88 passengers. With convenient front-door service to major venues and parking facilities, the streetcar will make it easy for visitors and residents alike to go safely and efficiently from one place to the next without the need for an automobile. The streetcars run seven days a week, with extended hours on weekends.
