Trump International

Well, it’s happened. I stayed in the most luxurious hotel in Manhattan. Okay, I haven’t stayed at every hotel on the island yet, but this particular stay was out of this world.

My weekend at The Trump International was in November of 2007 and I expect as we speak they are still providing the white glove service I experienced during my stay. I know for some of you, you already live the lifestyle of the rich and famous, but for this Travel Show host, it was the first time I felt like I was a movie star. Granted, staying at The Trump has a price, but whatever you pay, it will be worth it.

My room was on the 15th floor overlooking Central Park and Central Park South. It was a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. The staff was prepared to do anything I required, but they had already thought of everything, so my additional needs were minimal. By the way, when you feel how plush the carpet is under your feet, you know you are in the lap of luxury. The lighting, the music, the attention to detail and the décor made for the perfect atmosphere.

While you are there, take advantage of the 6,000 square foot fitness and wellness center. I’ve never felt better about taking care of myself.

And you may have heard of the restaurant Jean Georges. Yeah, it’s an award-winning restaurant experience and it’s located in the hotel. You must have a meal there. My lunch was so delicious; my taste buds took the rest of the week off.

It’s difficult to describe perfection, but this property is distinctly Trump and distinctly fabulous. Whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend for your loved one or just a luxurious place to get a little much-needed rest on your next trip to New York City, the staff and the facilities at the Trump International will leave you in disbelief. Needless to say, I loved my stay and I look forward to staying there again soon.
