Destination: Ft. Lauderdale, FL

My Trip:

Okay, so Ft. Lauderdale has a heckava nightlife – not quite as trendy as Miami but not quite as trendy as Miami – if you get my drift. They have great restaurants (try 3030 Ocean for the food and the view) and great lounges (personal fav is Gatsby’s). However, and much more important, Ft. Lauderdale has about 20 miles of beautiful sandy beach lined with fine looking palm trees gently swaying in the warm sea breeze. Can you feel it? I sure can, every time I close my eyes and remember that week I spent on the beach. Of course, there’s also lots and lots and lots of golf, plus romantic or antic day or night cruises across the gorgeous Atlantic Ocean. But if you’ve read any other beach-type entry on this website, you know darn well I was just sitting in the sand with a Pina Colada in my hand and a dumb smirk on my face as my girlfriend begged me say something – ANYTHING!!! – to her.
