Destination: Baltimore, MD

My Trip:

My favorite thing about Baltimore is the National Aquarium. It’s the most popular attraction in the city, so you want to get there early. But they have over 11,000 aquatic animals, so it will be definitely worth the wait. Plus they have a huge assortment of sharks and stingrays and I happen to like sharks and stingrays a whole lot. In fact, the entire Harbor Front is a great way to spend the day in Baltimore, with the Maritime Museum, The Power Plant, The Museum of Industry, as well as galleries and restaurants. At night, check out which up-and-coming band might be making a stop at Ram’s Head Live – a great place to catch a concert (and in the summertime, local radio WTMD hosts free – yes, free! – concerts in Wyndam Park.) Or just stop in at one of the great restaurants on St. Paul Street! Baltimore is a surprisingly cosmopolitan little city.
