Atlanta Travel Guide

My Atlanta Travel Guide highlights many of the reasons why Atlanta is definitely on my list of cities to which I should definitely return. I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days here while working, but it was definitely not enough. It has a great downtown, which is where I stayed. You can even take the subway from the airport, but it’s a very large place and there’s a lot to see in the outer suburbs so it might be best to rent a car if you go. While I was there, I took the touristy route by embarking on the Coca-Cola plant tour. Okay, that may not be your cup of tea (or cola), but I thought it was cool. Especially the part at the end where you get to sample different versions of Coke sold around the world (Lithuanian cola, mmmm). It’s also a good bet to visit the Olympic village, which is pretty awesome, especially if you’re a fan like me. And, in case you didn’t realize, Atlanta is a huge theatre town, so if that’s your thing you might want to check out what’s happening at the Alliance as they often feature shows before they come to Broadway!
